The SMT machine is like an automated robot, and all its actions are transmitted by sensors, which are then determined by the main brain to determine the next steps to be taken


1. Pressure sensor

In the SMT machine, including various cylinders and vacuum generators, there are certain requirements for air pressure. When the pressure is lower than the equipment's required pressure, the machine cannot operate normally. The pressure sensor always monitors the pressure changes. If there is any abnormality, it will alarm in a timely manner to remind the operator to handle it in a timely manner.

2. Negative pressure sensor

The suction nozzle of the SMT machine relies on negative pressure to extract components, which consists of a negative pressure generator (jet vacuum generator) and a vacuum sensor. If the negative pressure is not enough, the components cannot be sucked up. If there are no components in the feeder or the components are stuck in the material package and cannot be sucked up, the suction nozzle will not be able to suck the components. These situations can affect the normal operation of the machine. The negative pressure sensor always monitors the changes in negative pressure. When there is a situation where the components cannot be sucked or cannot be sucked, it can promptly alarm and remind the operator to replace the feeder or check if the negative pressure system of the suction nozzle is blocked.

3. Position sensor

The transmission and positioning of printed boards, including the counting of PCBs, real-time detection of chip head and worktable movements, and the movement of auxiliary mechanisms, all have strict requirements for their positions, which need to be achieved through various forms of position sensors.

4. Image sensor

The real-time display of the working status of the SMT machine mainly uses CCD image sensors, which can collect various required image signals, including PCB position, device size, and through computer analysis and processing, enable the SMT head to complete adjustment and SMT work.
